About Bryna Kligman Art
We have all heard the adage that a picture is worth a thousand words, but in a digital era we have so many photos that we don't appreciate the images the way we once did. By turning a favourite photo, or a photo of a favourite subject into a beautiful work of art we can recapture the magic that photos once held. A house isn’t just a building; it’s your home! Your pet isn't just any animal, he or she is a part of your family! What better way to show your love for them both than turning your favourite photp into a work of art?
I’ve always loved to create and through the years I’ve experimented with various mediums: graphite, charcoal, oil paint and coloured pencils. When I had children I started using acrylic paints to put murals on their bedroom walls and the pandemic brought me back to the world of art. I was looking for a creative outlet and this was one that I could share with my two children. I started small, drawing simple pictures and painting with watercolours.
I began creating house portraits after discussing what to do about our house with my husband. It is nearly 100 years old and showing its age. We decided we wanted to capture its beauty in its current state so I set out to try and draw it. We love the character of our home and yard, but once inside we don’t really get to see its beauty so a drawing is a great way to bring that charm indoors. I later branched out to drawing pets and haven't looked back.
The possibilities for turning photos into art are endless and I look forward to working with you!
